Jaipur is poised for a major infrastructure upgrade with projects worth over Rs 450 crore inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
According to the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), around Rs 320 crore will be allocated for new infrastructure initiatives, while Rs 130 crore worth of completed works will be formally inaugurated. A key highlight is the elevated corridor from Gopalpura Bypass to Gurjar ki Thadi, aimed at easing congestion in high-traffic areas like Triveni Circle and Riddhi-Siddhi. This corridor will connect Mansarovar, Vaishali Nagar, and other densely populated zones to key roads such as JLN Marg and Tonk Road.
The plan also includes sewerage projects in Prithviraj Nagar (South) and Sanganer Zones 2 and 3 under the Swarn Vihar STP network. Additionally, a trunk line will be laid in Bambala to address chronic drainage issues. Road strengthening from Vandemataram Road to Journalist Road Junction is also part of the citywide development agenda.
