Jindal Stainless has supplied 301N austenitic stainless steel for the Bengaluru Metro Phase 2 project, underscoring its role in advancing India’s urban transport systems.
The project, which comprises 53 trainsets, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. So far, the company has delivered 1,031 tonne of 301N stainless steel, noted for its high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, fire and crash protection, and low carbon footprint. The material has been deployed in Metro coach structures, including roofs and other critical components, ensuring safety and longevity.
