John Cockerill India (JCIL) has secured a contract worth Rs 280 crore from the Tinplate Company of India (TCIL) to install a continuous annealing line (CAL) at the client's Jamshedpur plant in Jharkhand.
The work entails engineering, design, manufacturing and supplying plant and equipment for the installation of CAL and also the supervision of the erection of the line. The order is to be carried out by the company for over a period of 28 months from the effective date.
JCIL is involved in the designing, erection and commissioning of cold rolling mill complexes (CRMC), processing pines, chemical equipment and auxiliary equipment for the worldwide steel industry. It has a global presence across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and South America.
TCIL, a subsidiary of Tata Steel, offers consistently high-quality products to meet its clientele requirements. The company has a pan India presence, and its single manufacturing facility, located in Jamshedpur CRMs, electrolytic tinning lines (ETLs) and world-class printing and lacquering lines.
