KEC International has bagged orders worth Rs 914 crore in its transmission, cable business and power system business from domestic and international companies.

In America, SAE Towers, the wholly owned subsidiary of the company, has secured poles supply order worth Rs 73 crore from Canada. SAE Towers is expanding its pole production capacity from 5,000 tonne to 12,000 tonne at its existing facility in Mexico at an investment of Rs 25 crore to cater to the increasing demand of poles in the North America region. The expansion is likely to be completed by September 2013. In addition, SAE Towers has also secured orders for supply of lattice towers and hardware from Canada, United States, Brazil and Mexico. The total value of these orders is Rs 115 crore.

In Indonesia, order worth Rs 129 crore has been secured for design, supply and erection of 150 kV transmission line between Bengkayang - Ngabang - Tayanwith from the client PT PLN (Persero), i.e. Indonesia's State Electricity Corporation.

KEC has bagged an order worth Rs 196 crore from the Saudi Electricity Company to design, supply and erection of 380 kV transmission lines associated with interconnection of Al Salam, Madinah.

The Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has awarded an order worth Rs 219 crore for supply and erection of 400 kV transmission line between Kurukshetra - Jalandhar and 220 kV transmission line between Jalandhar - Hamirpur.

The cable business has secured order worth Rs 74 crore for the supply of power and telecom cables. While power system business has bagged order worth Rs 40 crore for establishment of a 765 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) in Tamil Nadu for PGCIL.
