Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has issued a tender for the construction of a 400kV GIS substation at Payyampally in Wayanad District, for the GIS Package 8 under TransGrid 2.0 project.
This initiative is a component of the North Green Corridor Package and is financed by KfW under the 'Energy Efficiency in the Indian Electricity Grid' program. The contract, estimated at Rs 255.01 crore, covers a wide range of activities, including design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning of all required equipment and systems. The successful bidder will be responsible for transportation, insurance, unloading, storage, and installation at the site. The 36-month project is expected to improve the region's power distribution infrastructure, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
The closing date for bid submission is set for 10 March, 2026.
