Authorities are set to fast track infrastructure development to ensure seamless access to Noida International Airport in Jewar. Among the most critical connectivity projects is the 5.5 km Bhangel Elevated Road, a six-lane link between Agahpur and the NSEZ on the DSC Road.
Initially launched in June 2020 with a Rs 468 crore budget, the project experienced delays due to design revisions and funding constraints, escalating the cost to Rs 608 crore. It is now nearing completion and slated to open by July 2025. Another vital link is the DND–Faridabad–Ballabhgarh Bypass Road, designed to connect the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway directly to Jewar Airport. The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned an additional Rs 48.6 crore for the project. Construction is already underway, with 66.73 hectares of land acquired and Rs 260 crore disbursed in compensation to local farmers.
To further streamline connectivity, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will construct an 8.5 km elevated section as part of the 22 km Greenfield Expressway from Faridabad to Jewar. Approved under the Bharatmala Pariyojana initiative, the expressway is expected to catalyse regional economic development.
Additionally, the state plans to build a 76 km expressway linking Jewar Airport directly to the Ganga Expressway. With Rs 1,000 crore allocated, the road will start in Bulandshahr and connect to the Yamuna Expressway, significantly improving airport access for residents of Meerut and Bulandshahr, and offering seamless transit for users of the Purvanchal and Bundelkhand.
