The Kim-Dahegam stretch, a crucial part of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, is expected to be open by 31 December, 2025, according to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
This section, which connects Kim to Dahegam, is the final part of the expressway that remains unfinished. The project has made significant progress, with 93% of the work completed, and finishing touches are being applied. Infrastructure work, including the construction of a road over bridge near Kosamba and pavement laying, has been finalized.
As per NHAI, the stretch is “progressing steadily” and will be ready for traffic by the end of the year. While most of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway has been operational, Package 5 was the last to be completed, causing delays in the full opening of the Vadodara–Surat corridor.
