Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works (KMEW) has secured a contract from the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for the design, construction, and supply of 12 vessels.

The contract valued at Rs 80.69 crore, comprises six work boats and six accommodation boats and will be executed over a 20-month period. This new mandate highlights KMEW’s growing role in India’s inland waterway infrastructure, particularly in terms of vessel manufacturing. The vessels are designed to support IWAI’s operational and logistical needs, including navigation support, crew accommodation, and field-level tasks across the inland water transport network. 

With this win, the company reinforces its technical and execution capabilities in high-value marine infrastructure contracts, boosting its order book and revenue visibility for the next two years.
