L'Oreal plans to inaugurate its global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad later this year, with an investment of Rs 3,500 crore by 2030.
This facility will be the world’s first beauty-tech hub, focusing on AI-powered beauty solutions. The centre is expected to create 2,000 highly skilled work roles, including AI specialists and data scientists, and will accelerate the company's global digital transformation. Nicolas Hieronimus, L'Oreal's CEO, announced this at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The centre will serve as a global innovation and technology hub, providing tech solutions for L'Oreal's worldwide operations. Telangana officials, including Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, expressed full support for the project and encouraged L'Oreal to consider setting up a manufacturing unit in the state as well.
CEO Hieronimus showed interest in further investments, underlining Hyderabad's growing status as a key destination for global enterprise operations. “This first-of-its-kind Beauty Tech hub will serve as a flagship for crafting the next generation of AI-powered beauty innovation and services," he said.
