The Minerals & Metals (M&M) business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured two orders from the Vedanta Group.
The first order is for setting up a five ltpa fertiliser plant for Hindustan Zinc, which is a Vedanta Group subsidiary. The EPC contract involves a 1.8 ltpa Phosphoric Acid Plant (PAP) and a 5.1 ltpa di-ammonium phosphate plant (DAP) at Chanderiya in Rajasthan. The project will come up within the premises of the existing main plant.
Another order is for expanding the capacity of the aluminum smelter complex at Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) Korba, Chhattisgarh by 435 ktpa. The work involves critical pot shell fabrication, assembly and installation including civil, structural and equipment installation works. BALCO is a Vedanta Group subsidiary.
The M&M business covers the complete spectrum from mineral processing to finished metals. It offers product solutions for varied applications in industrial sectors including mining, steel, ports, fertilizers, cement and chemical plants.
