Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has bagged two orders worth Rs 1,143 crore from Tata
Steel.
The first Rs 689 crore order is for turnkey construction of dry crushing and
material preparation plant (DCMP) at Joda Mines (Jharkhand) and Engine-on-Load
Scheme at Noamundi Mines (Orissa). The other order valued at Rs 454 crore is for
the iron ore and pellet handling system at Tata's plant in Jamshedpur,
Jharkhand.
L&T's contract job includes basic & detail engineering; complete civil &
structural works; supply and erection of mechanical, electrical &
instrumentation works including testing & commissioning of the same. The
projects are to be executed in a span of 30 months for DCMP project, 24 months
for EOL scheme and 23 months for the pellet system.
