Legrand India has inaugurated its largest manufacturing facility in India, located in Nashik, covering over 30,000 sq. mtrs.
The new plant will produce a variety of products, including busbar trunking systems, distribution boards, and industrial plugs, with a focus on meeting the growing demand from the data centre sector. This expansion aligns with Legrand's strategy to strengthen India’s role as a key manufacturing and export hub. A portion of the production will be aimed at international markets, with plans to scale up exports. The facility also supports Legrand India's growing data centre business, including offerings from its recent acquisition, NetRack.
Sustainability is central to the plant’s design, with a one MW rooftop solar system, green building certification from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), and adherence to zero liquid discharge norms, reflecting Legrand's commitment to environmental responsibility.
