Luminous Power Technologies has secured orders to install 350 MW of solar power projects in Rajasthan under the PM-KUSUM scheme, with installations set to begin in early 2026.
These projects will generate electricity to be sold to local distribution companies, helping meet energy demands while reducing environmental impact. The solar plants are expected to produce between 500 to 560 million units of electricity annually, which could offset around 4.02 to 4.59 lakh tonne of CO2 emissions each year—equivalent to planting approx. 19 to 22 million trees.
Preeti Bajaj, CEO & MD of Luminous Power Technologies, called this a significant milestone for the company. The PM-KUSUM scheme, launched in 2019, aims to add 34,800 MW of solar capacity by March 2026, contributing to India’s renewable energy goals and enhancing sustainability in agriculture and rural areas.
