The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRCL) is set to introduce a dedicated feeder network for the upcoming Metro Line-3, aiming to provide seamless last-mile connectivity for commuters.
This initiative will integrate electric buses, e-autos, and shared mobility options to improve access to the metro, easing passenger transfers and making the system more efficient. With Metro Line-3, Mumbai's first fully underground corridor, nearing completion, the project will connect major areas, helping alleviate congestion on the city’s busiest routes.
MMRCL officials emphasise that this feeder system is part of a larger strategy to reduce the city's reliance on private vehicles, promoting eco-friendly and convenient public transport alternatives.
