1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Mahindra Gesco plans four SEZs

Mahindra Gesco Developers has planned to launch at least four SEZs in the country. Three of these will cater to information technology and apparel industries. Work on these SEZs is scheduled for completion by mid-2007. The fourth SEZ will be for the food processing industry and is still in a nascent stage.

The locations for the project is not yet finalised but are in the process of evaluating sites in Orissa, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal for the multi-product SEZ. For the apparel SEZ, the company is taking into consideration two sites -  one in the Delhi and another in the Bangalore-Tirupur belt. The IT SEZ is likely to come up in a non-metro location.

Both the apparel and IT SEZs to be implemented each on an an area of  250 acres of land, will be in joint ventures with the respective state governments.

The company has already set up SEZs in Chennai and Jaipur and at Chennai, the company is in the process of acquiring more land and will expand the area from the current 1,400 acres to 3,000 acres.

Meanwhile, Mahindra has already entered into an agreement with MIDC for developing a special economic zone in Maharashtra. (See link below)
