Tronoh Consolidated Malaysia Bhd has bagged the
EPC contract for the 300 MW Pathadi power project in Chhattisgarh. The project
promoted by Lanco Amarkantak Power Pvt Ltd, an IPP, is coming up at Pathadi in
Korba district of Chhattisgarh.
The EPC contract, valued at RM 760 million ($200
million or Rs.860 crore) involves design and engineering, civil and structural
construction, as well as the supply, installation and commissioning of offshore
and onshore equipment and sytems.
Work is expected to begin in July/August 2005
with completion targeted within 33 months.
The contract will be executed by India-based Zelan Projects
Pvt Ltd, a 49.99 per cent associate of Zelan Holdings (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, in
turn a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tronoh Consolidated.
