India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki added 50 outlets in the quarter ended 30 June 2015 to widen their sales network in the country. The car major’s sales outlets now has increased to 1,670 covering 1,336 cities and towns.
Maruti has expanded 90 percent of its outlets in areas where they do not have presence earlier. In the first quarter outlets were set up in towns like Khalilabad (Uttar Pradesh), Kangra (Himachal Pradesh), Memari (West Bengal) and Banur (Punjab).
Last year the company achieved the biggest network expansion by adding 309 outlets. The company has set its target of achieving sales of two million vehicles by 2020 and thus is in progress of expanding its network of outlets.
