Mehru Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, a material subsidiary of Quality Power Electrical Equipments, has signed a co-development agreement with Hyosung T&D India.

The partnership focuses on designing and manufacturing advanced gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) instrument transformers. This collaboration combines Hyosung’s global expertise in cutting-edge equipment and eco-friendly gas technologies with Mehru’s strong manufacturing capabilities in highvoltage instrument transformers. Together, they aim to create world-class GIS components which will be designed and produced in India, targeting global markets. 

The alliance marks a strategic move to strengthen India’s position in the high-voltage electrical equipment sector while promoting ecofriendly and advanced technology solutions. This joint effort is expected to enhance the quality and competitiveness of GIS products made domestically, benefiting both companies and the broader power industry worldwide.
