Metkore Alloys & Industries has signed a metal recovery service agreement with Harsco India, subsidiary of US based Harsco Corporation.
The company has signed an agreement for recovering ferro chrome metal from slag generated at its plant in Tekkali, Andhra Pradesh. The metal recovery plant has a capacity of 2 lakh million tpa and will be initially set up at Tekkali and later will be shifted to the ferro alloy facility at Bishnupur plant in West Bengal after three years. The period of the service contract is for seven years after which the plant is expected to process 1.4 million tonne of slag to recover around 35,000 million tonne of metal.
