The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has floated a tender for the construction of a landmark hybrid cable-stayed and suspension bridge across the Krishna River on NH-167K.
Spanning design chainage km 87.360 to km 88.437 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The bridge, measuring 1,077 mtrs. in total length with the main span of 864 mtrs., will be executed on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. The selected contractor will be responsible for the full spectrum of work, including design, engineering, procurement of materials, and construction. The initiative aims to enhance regional connectivity, reduce travel time, and create a modern infrastructure landmark linking the two states.
Construction is expected to be completed within 36 months from the start date, and will be followed by maintenance of the bridge during a 10-year defect liability period from completion.
