NCC has been declared L1 bidder for execution of Daudhan Dam under Ken-Betwa Link Project.
NCC will be responsible for the EPC execution of Daudhan Dam, upper level tunnel, lower level tunnel, and will carry out the planning, design and construction of composite dam on river Ken, of approx. height 96.7 mtrs. above deepest foundation level and its ancillary works. The financial bid was opened on 14 June, 2024, and the bid value quoted was Rs 3,389.49 crore.
For this national project by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the Centre has constituted a special purpose vehicle named as Ken-Betwa Link Project Authority (KBLPA) and a steering committee for implementation of this project. It involves transfer of water from Ken river to Betwa river through the construction of Daudhan dam and a canal which links the two rivers.
