National Democratic Alliance (NDA)
government has scrapped the Rs.157 contract with Tantia Construction Co, in the
wake of dissatisfaction with the work being carried out by it for construction
of roads in the Bihar capital.
Bihar Road Construction Minister,

works have been sub-standard and of inferior quality and had been able to finish
developing only five roads out of 19 in Patna in a period of 21 months. It is
learnt that the state government has served notices to the company 30 times and
fine of Rs.3.56 crore for tardy pace of work, yet TCCPL failed to meet the
deadline.
The state government is expected soon
float fresh tenders of completing the unfinished works.
