National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids to provide consultancy services for the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of a new spur road branching from the Amas–Darbhanga Corridor (NH-119D).
This spur is intended to connect several culturally and historically significant locations in Bihar, including Bodhgaya, Rajgir, Vaishali, and Darbhanga. The targeted towns - Bodhgaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a major pilgrimage destination for Buddhists; Rajgir and Vaishali, ancient cities with deep roots in Indian history; and Darbhanga, a cultural heartland, are expected to benefit significantly from improved highway access.
The selected consultancy firm will be responsible for conducting surveys, traffic analysis, feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and cost estimation. The proposed DPR consultancy is to be completed within a span of nine months.
The bis submission deadline is set for 16 June, 2025.
