National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued tenders for the construction of access controlled coastal highway under two packages on hybrid annuity mode (HAM) in Odisha.
The scope of work for Package-I for the section stretching from Rameshwar to Konark (km 0 to km 79.400) involves the rehabilitation, upgradation, and widening of the existing carriageway to four-lane standards, including the construction of new pavement and rehabilitation of existing pavement, at a cost of Rs 3,320.89 crore. Additionally, the work will cover the construction and/or rehabilitation of major and minor bridges, culverts, road intersections, interchanges, drains, and other associated infrastructure.
Bids are also invited for the construction of a coastal highway with a paved shoulder connecting Konark and Paradeep under Package-II. Spanning a total length of 80.78 km, extending from km 79.400 to km 160.180, the value of the HAM contract is Rs 1,640.71 crore.
The closing date for bid submission for both contracts is 14 January, 2026.
