The land acquisition survey of the area proposed for the Nagpur-Ratnagiri National highway has been completed. A total of 29.158 ha from 16 villages falling in the agricultural belt of Kolhapur district will be acquired for this project.
As per the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956, the Central government intends to acquire the land for building, maintenance, management and operation of NH-166 in the district of Kolhapur.
The land to be acquired falls in the Nagaon, Toap, Bhuye, Bhuyewadi, Jatharwadi, Kerle, Kerli, Nigave Dumala, Padvalwadi, Shiye, Ambawade, Borpadale, Danewadi, Kushire, Navali, Pimpale-Satave from three tehsils of Hatkanangle, Karveer and Panhala in Kolhapur district.
