NTPC, India’s largest integrated energy company, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Electricity Department, Government of Goa (ED-Goa), for power allocation from its Sipat Stage-III project located in Bilaspur district, Chhattisgarh. The agreement was formalised on 16 July, 2025 at the Electricity Department office in Goa.
This strategic partnership marks a significant step in strengthening Goa’s power infrastructure by ensuring a long-term, reliable supply of electricity. The agreement supports Goa’s growing energy requirements, aiding the state's developmental goals while promoting energy security.
NTPC's Sipat Stage-III plant is part of its broader initiative to provide sustainable, affordable, and dependable power to various regions across India. This PPA is aligned with NTPC’s vision of supporting India's energy transition and reinforces its role as a key player in the nation’s power sector.
