1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

NVVNL to enlist EPC contractors for rooftop solar projects

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVNL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has invited bids to enlist engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors for design, supply, construction, testing and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar projects across India.

The successful bidder will also have to take care of the operation and maintenance (O&M) activities for 10 years.

The scope of work includes feasibility assessment, designing, engineering, procurement, testing & commissioning, rooftop strength test, water arrangements, construction power and transportation required for setting up the rooftop projects.

The last date to submit the bids is 17 May 2021. The bids will be opened on 18 May 2021. Within 10 days of the notification of award, the contractor should provide a contract performance guarantee of three percent of the contract price for all the contracts.

The bidder should have designed, supplied, erected and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 800 kW or higher as an EPC contractor or developer, out of which at least one rooftop solar project should have been of 100 kW or higher capacity. The reference project should have been in successful operation for at least six months before the bid opening date.

Recently, NVVNL invited bids for design, engineering, construction and commissioning of one MW rooftop solar power projects at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jodhpur, Rajasthan, for captive consumption.
