NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVNL) is likely to sign PPAs with the
grid-connected solar projects that are under development over the next 15 days.
PPAs for around 80 MW are expected to be signed.
These PPAs will be signed only with those developers who want to migrate to
the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM). As per sources, NNVNL will
be signing two agreements with the project developers - one for development of
the project and another for inclusion of the project under the JNNSM.
JNNSM envisages implementation of solar programme including utility grid
solar power in three phases – Phase I up to 2013 (1,100 MW), Phase II up to 2017
(4,000 MW), and Phase III up to 2022 (20,000 MW).
