Tata Motors has commenced the trial production of Nano at Sanand plant in
Gujarat.
The commercial production of Nano is likely to begin by April 2010. The
installed capacity of the Sanand plant is likely to be 2.5 lakh units in Phase
I. The Sanand plant is likely to ease the delivery position on bookings that
have been made so far. The company had accepted one lakh bookings in Phase I.
The company is currently producing Nano from its Pantnagar facility in
Uttarakhand.
