Work is underway for the National Dairy Development Board’s ice cream unit at Aavin Palagam in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu. The project involves setting up a new unit with a capacity of 10,000 ltr per shift.
IDMC has bagged an order worth Rs 20.10 crore for setting up the ice cream unit. The scope of work includes design, supply and labour job installation, testing and commissioning.
In early 2018, IDMC commenced work on the unit. When contacted by Projects Today team, the contractor confided that the unit will be ready by mid-2019.
As per the recent update with Projects Today, work was progressing as per schedule and the project will be over by its scheduled completion date.
