Lanco Infratech is likely to commission the first unit of Kondapalli
expansion project in Andhra Pradesh by end-October 2009.
The company has secured natural gas linkage assurance from Reliance
Industries' Krishna-Godavari basin gas fields for the 368 MW Lanco Kondapalli
combined cycle power plant expansion project. While the first unit of 240 MW is
likely to commence operations by end-October 2009, the second unit will be ready
by December 2009.
The company is also executing the 600x2 MW imported coal based project in
Karnataka through Udupi Power Corporation. The first unit of 600 MW is expected
to be synchronised with the grid by March 2010 and the second unit within six
months thereafter.
