L&T has won a Balance of Plant package (BoP) order worth Rs 1,635 crore from
Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Ltd (MPPGCL) for 1,200 MW Malwa coal
fired power plant.
The order exludes the boiler, turbine, generator package, which has been
bagged by BHEL.
MPPGCL's project located in Khandwa district will be capable of adding
approximately 28.80 million units to the grid every day once it is commissioned.
The power project is being funded by Madhya Pradesh Government and PFC.
L&T's scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply,
erection and commissioning of BoP systems comprising coal handling and ash
handling plants, raw water intake systems, effluent treatment plant, bop civil
works, cooling towers, chimney, 400 kV and 200 kV switchyards, plant electrical
systems and other associated auxiliaries.
