BHEL has bagged an order valued at Rs 460 crore from Adhunik Power and
Natural Resources for the main plant package of Unit II of 270 MW at its
upcoming thermal power project in Jamshedpur district of Jharkhand.
BHEL’s scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply,
erection and commissioning of steam turbine, generator and boiler, along with
associated auxiliaries and electricals, besides state-of-the-art controls &
instrumentation and electrostatic precipitators.
The turbine generator and boiler are to be manufactured at the company’s
Haridwar and Trichy plants respectively, and the C&I system is to be supplied by
BHEL’s Electronics Division, Bangalore. The company’s Hyderabad plant is
expected to manufacture the coal mills and boiler feed pumps, while the
electricals will be supplied by BHEL's Bhopal and Jhansi plants. BHEL's Ranipet
plant is to manufacture and supply the ESPs.
