GMR Infrastructure in consortium with Oriental Structural Engineers (OSE) won
a contract from the NHAI for the four-laning of Hungund-Hospet section in
Karnataka on BOT basis.
GMR will hold 51 per cent equity in the consortium whereas the rest of 49 per
cent will be held by OSE.
The road project strecthing over 99 km on NH-13 is estimated to cost Rs 1,700
crore. The scope of work includes designing, engineering, finance, procurement,
construction, operation and maintenance of the section in Karnataka state. The
project is likely to be implemented by a SPV which will sign the concession
agreement with the NHAI for a period of 19 years.
