Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) has disallowed Adani Power's technical bid
for of supply power to GUVNL through competitive bidding, on the grounds that
the company did not provide confirmed document with regard to source of fuel.
A total of 11 power firms had submitted their financial as well as technical
bids in response to GUVNL's offer to supply it 3,000 MW of power. The other
companies who had bid include Essar Power, Jindal India Thermal Power, Shapoorji
Pallonji, Chennai based OPG, MP Power, Avantha Power, Pipavav Energy, Wardha
Power and TRN, a subsidiary of Aryan Coal.
