BHEL bagged an order valued at Rs 3,348 crore from Indian Oil Corporation to
set up 376 MW captive power plant at the upcoming Paradip Refinery project in
Orissa.
The gas turbine based combined cycle power plant is likely to meet the power
and process steam requirement of the upcoming grassroot refinery and is slated
for commissioning by November 2012.
The equipment for the project is to be supplied by BHEL's plants at
Hyderabad, Trichy, Ranipet, Bhopal, Jhansi and Electronics Division, Bangalore.
Civil works and erection and commissioning of the captive power plant will be
carried out by the company's Power Sector – Southern Region.
