The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure (CCI) on 6 May 2010 approved updating
the total project cost (TPC) of two road projects in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Committee gave its nod for updating the TPC for widening of road from
Nechipu to Hoj at Rs 1,389.00 crore by applying escalation at seven per cent
on civil cost. The estimated civil cost of the project is Rs 1,172.50 crore. The
cost towards land acquisition and preconstruction activity of Rs 125 crore and
Rs 135.00 crore at 11.5 per cent of the civil cost of project towards
supervision and management of the project has already been approved by the CCI.
Also, the CCI approved updating the TPC for widening of existing road to
two-lane national highway standards from
Potin to Pangin on BOT (Annuity) basis under the Arunachal Pradesh Package
of Roads and Highways of SARDP-NE. It approved the updated TPC of Rs 1,855 crore
by applying CCI approved escalation at seven per cent on civil cost. The updated
TPC is Rs 1,985 crore.
The estimated civil cost of the project is Rs 1,566.25 crore. The cost
towards land acquisition and preconstruction activity of Rs 163 crore and Rs 180
crore at 11.5 per cent of the civil cost of project towards supervision and
management of the project has already been approved by the CCI.
