The Noida Authority announced that 15 companies have submitted proposals to construct two key underpasses along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, near Sultanpur and Jhatta villages, aimed at easing traffic congestion in these high-density areas. A final bidder will be selected within the next two months by the authority's civil department.

The first underpass, located near Jaypee Wishtown in Sector 128, will serve Sultanpur and sectors 128, 129, 105, and 108, benefitting over 1,00,000 residents and facilitating smoother access for IT parks, educational institutions, and hospitals in the vicinity. The 700-mtrs. structure is projected to cost Rs 80 crore, with a completion target of 18 months post-contract award. The second underpass, also 700 mtrs. in length, will be constructed near Jhatta village, enhancing connectivity between sectors-145, 146, 155, 159, and Greater Noida.

With an estimated cost of Rs. 100 crore, it will also be completed within 1.5 years. This area includes major tech campuses such as Tata Consultancy Services. Both underpasses will employ diaphragm wall technology, requiring temporary traffic diversions during construction, according to Chief Engineer Vijay Rawal.
