ONGC has notified three discoveries to the Directorate General of
Hydrocarbons (DGH).
One discovery is at the Aliabet number two well in the NELP block
CB-OSN-2003/1 in the Cambay basin in Gujarat. This discovery produced 12,884
mmscmd of gas and six mmscmd of condensate. On further testing after the
discovery was notified, it produced 77,167 mmscmd of gas and 11 cubic mmscmd of
condensate.
The second discovery is at the Malleswaram number one well in the PEL block
1A in the Krishna-Godavari (KG) onland basin in the east coast. This discovery
produced 47.52 mmscmd of oil and 11,124 mmscmd of gas.
The third discovery at the GS-29 number six well in the shallow offshore KG
basin in eastern India produced 570.33 mmscmd of oil and 118,925 mmscmd of gas.
