Oil & Natural Gas Corporation plans to
invest about Rs.11,000 crore in re-development of its Mumbai High oilfields.
Of the total investment, about
Rs.6,500 crore will be invested in Mumbai High South redevelopment to give an
additional 20 million tpa of oil from 2010 to 2030 and another Rs.4,500 crore
will be invested in Mumbai High North to produce additional 15 million tpa over
the period.
ONGC previously invested Rs.3,239
crore in redevelopment of Mumbai High North and Rs.6,579 crore in Mumbai High
South.
ONGC will also invest around Rs.1,000
crore for turnaround of Heera and Neelam fields off Mumbai coast. This
investment will be besides the Rs.2,305.30 crore being deployed for
redevelopment of Heera and South Heera fields to get 10.685 million tpa of oil
and 2.265 bcm of gas from June 2010 to 2030.
The company will invest Rs.2,853.29
crore in construction of a Mumbai High North complex in place of the BHN
complex. The new complex will be completed by 2010-11.
