The Odisha government has cleared fresh investments worth Rs 4,515 crore across 18 strategic projects, expected to generate over 8,200 employment opportunities in eight districts.
Approvals came at the 139th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), Chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on 20 August, 2025. Projects span green energy, waste management, pharmaceuticals, tourism, steel, EVs, IT infrastructure, and food processing, reflecting Odisha’s push to balance traditional industries with sunrise sectors.
District-wise, Dhenkanal will see a Rs 283 crore battery storage plant by INOX Solar, while Jindal Stainless will set up a Rs 90 crore green hydrogen unit in Jajpur. Ganjam will house a Rs 750 crore solar cell unit, and Jagatsinghpur will host hospitality projects worth Rs 363 crore, including a five-star hotel.
"The govt is committed to creating a future-ready economy where industrial growth translates into job creation and stronger local economies," said an official statement, adding the clearances reaffirm employment generation and regional growth.
Major approvals include Konark Ispat’s Rs 990 crore steel-power expansion in Jharsuguda. Khurda, Angul, and Sundargarh will see EV, data centre, biogas, recycling, and logistics projects.
