Old Silver Mint, a
famous landmark in Kolkata, depicting Grecian architecture will be restored. The
monument which is falling to pieces will be renovated by Eden, a real estate
company.
Eden plans to
construct a mint museum, an art and culture centre, a food court as well as a
hotel at the site which stands within a 12.5-acre compound off the Hooghly river
at a cost of Rs.150 crore.
The project is likely
to be completed by 2011.
