China-based mobile manufacturer OnePlus will launch local manufacturing in India as a part of “Make in India” campaign with the help of Taiwan-based Foxconn.
OnePlus has recently partnered with the iPhone makers for contract manufacturing of smartphones in India at the Sri City Integrated Business City in Andhra Pradesh. The facility will have a capacity to produce up to 500,000 units a month and will generate direct employment of over 1,000. The production is set to begin by December 2015.
