Optiemus Infracom has partnered with US-based Corning to locally manufacture premium tempered glass screen protectors for smartphones in India under the brand ‘RhinoTech’.
Noida-based Optiemus claims to be the first Indian firm to produce advanced-grade protectors featuring Corning glass technology. “We are committed to establishing India as a global hub for high-value mobile accessories,” said Ashok Kumar Gupta, Chairman, Optiemus Infracom.
The company aims for Rs 2,000 crore revenue from the tempered glass business by March 2027. Currently, most tempered glass used in India is imported from China. Production will take place at Optiemus’ Noida facility, with the company stating, “Our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant enables RhinoTech to reliably meet the growing demand of Indian consumers while maintaining consistent quality and widespread availability across the nation.”
Initially targeting the premium smartphone segment, RhinoTech will expand to economy categories in the coming months. The products are set to hit the Indian market by end-September 2025.
