Pune-based Precision Automation
Robotics India (PARI) is developing an automation city at a cost of Rs.260 crore
at Dhangarwadi near Pune.
The proposed facility to be spread
over 75 acres of land will have manufacturing, engineering, testing, assembly
and training facilities along with housing and recreational facilities.
The automation city will also house
its latest JV with the $300 million Valiant Machine and Tool of Canada. PARI
have signed an MoU with Valiant for engineering, project management, after sales
support and services, marketing and supporting procurement initiatives of
Valiant in the Asia-Pacific region. The JV Valiant-PARI Production Systems will
come into effect by March 2008 and will initially invest $1 million to create
facilities on the 15 acres of land reserved at the automation city and PARI's
other subsidiaries.
