Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Banswara, Rajasthan, on September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, to lay the foundation stone for the Mahi-Banswara Nuclear Power Plant.
The project, valued at Rs 45,000 crore, is part of a larger package of clean energy and infrastructure initiatives worth Rs 1.21 lakh crore. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma termed the plant a “historic step” in boosting the state’s energy sector. PM Modi will also dedicate multiple clean energy projects, flag off Vande Bharat Express trains on Bikaner–Delhi, and other routes.
BJP State President Madan Rathore emphasised the project’s significance for Rajasthan’s energy development, calling it a milestone investment in atomic energy infrastructure. The event will be live-streamed across districts, municipal bodies, and gram panchayats.
