The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has directed its administration to fast-track the progress of 19 ongoing road projects under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.
The projects cover a total length of 37 km, with 12 km already completed. PMC officials, including Additional Commissioner Omprakash Diwate, are working to remove procedural barriers, coordinate with the transferable development rights (TDR) department, and begin land acquisition for road widening.
Key roads under development include Shivane–Kharadi, Warje Rosary School to Ambedkar Chowk, and Baner–Balewadi to Hinjewadi, among others. The initiative aims to enhance road connectivity and address urban transportation needs.
