Parryware Roca is planning to invest
100 million Euros (Rs.550 crore) over the next two years to upgrade its existing
units, setting up new units and for acquisitions and marketing.
The partners in the 50:50 joint
venture, EID Parry and Roca Sanitario (Spain), will bring in the investment
without involving any debt.
Of the total investment, the company
plans to invest about 25 million Euros (Rs.135 crore) in upgrading and ramping
up production at its manufacturing units (at Alwar, Perundurai, Dewas and
Ranipet) to produce 6 million pieces of sanitary ware a year by 2010 from the
present capacity of 4.5 million pieces.
Besides spending on marketing, the
company plans to add 40 new showrooms to the existing 15 and partnering with 50
exclusive dealers for Roca.
