Patel Engineering, on 24 July 2005,
announced the winning of an order worth Rs.410 crore from National Highways
Authority of India for design, construction, development, finance,
operation and maintenance of NH-7 from Km.463.6 (Andhra Pradhesh / Karnataka
Border) to Km.524 (Avathi Village).
The project will also involve
improvement, operation and maintenance of Km.524 (Avathi Village) to Km.527 (Nandi
Hills Crossing) and Km.535 (Devanhalli Village) to Km.539 (Meenukunte Village)
on NH-7 in Karnataka under the North-South Corridor (NHDP Phase II).
The project will be jointly executed
by Patel Engineering and KNR Constructions. Work on the project is likely to
commence by December 2006.
In another development, the company
also bagged a Rs.37.1crore contract from the Municipal Corporation of Greater
Mumbai for the rehabilitation of sewer lines by GRP Liners using Trenchless
Technology.
