Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) (PIGL) has bagged a Rs 70.55 crore work order from Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam.
The turnkey contract involves supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of distribution infrastructure for on-grid electrification of un-electrified households and public institutions in nine circles — Ajmer, Banswara, Bhilwara, Chhitorgarh, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Salumbar, Sikar, and Udaipur — in Rajasthan’s tribal villages.
The project is part of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DA-JGUA) under the Central Government’s RDSS scheme, with a completion timeline of 12 months. Calling the order “a milestone in our mission to empower underserved communities through reliable electricity access,” Managing Director Padmaraj Padmnabhan Pillai said the project will transform lives in Rajasthan’s tribal regions while supporting India’s inclusive development goals.
PIGL’s proven track record in challenging terrains reinforces its leadership in power infrastructure, and this win adds to its growing portfolio under national electrification programmes. The company is committed to delivering the project with “precision and efficiency” to meet stringent quality and timeline requirements.
